Just because you don't like wormholes, doesn't mean others do not mind finding them in their scans and running through them for some cores/ribbons/whatever.
Hey people.. remember, you're not going to find an MMO thats solely centered around what you want and your desires. The other thousands of people that play have different opinions, views, and ideas.. guess what, deal with it when **** comes your way that does not agree with you.
I don't do it, much at least. The thing is, I love most aspects of it, and I have good fun when I have a good string of luck doing it. My gripe is its far, far to common to spend the first hour of the day I want to do exploration, find nothing but worm holes for the first hour, get so aggravated and go "**** this ****." I have no problem for people who wanna run Wh, I'm not saying take them out of anything but I do greatly wish there was a way know its a Wh sooner in the scanning process so I can move on to a different one. You can tell other sigs apart at like 25%, but not a wh. Why not give it it's own category to show at 25% like the others?
I see.. I'd say incentive to train your skills higher so you find out sooner.. or to purchase items to improve your skills. Also look at it.. when they changed the system around, gave something to the people that had higher levels something extra than those that do not. Faster you increase the sig res, faster you find out what it is, sooner you realize if you want or not compared to someone of lesser scanning ability.
I appreciate your attempts to help, but the thing is wormholes fall under "unknown" sites, the same kind as the combat sites, ie, the main kind of site I"m looking for. But you can't tell a combat site form a WH until you get to the very end of scanning, you can only find out its a WH once you get at like 70% scan strength. At that point you already have spend several minutes pin pointing it down.
Once you get good at scanning, you will probe an entire 10 sig system in less than 5 minutes (assuming you're not trying for a warp on everything, and specialize in combat sites or radar or somesuch).
I'm not exaggerating. In the time it seems to take you to scan a single sig, (8-10 minutes) I scan half a constellation (because in null sec, there's usually only 3-4 sigs per system). Oh, by the way, my scanning character only has skills up to 3, and scanning in my ishtar only slows me down by 10 seconds/sig.
Your main problem? You're not in a corp or alliance where a scanning guru could get you straightened in a few minutes.
